Turning Two

Two years ago, I pressed publish on this blog without knowing the impact it would have. Today, Welexi Renee has reached readers not just in the USA but all the way to Germany—truly international!

Over these past two years, I’ve learned that words carry power far beyond what we often realize. This year especially has tested me in ways I never expected. From self-doubt to anxiety, from physical pain to mental torment, there were moments I felt like quitting on my passion and settling for less than what God has placed in me.

But even through the struggles, so much has been accomplished. I embraced my name Welexi Renee. I had the opportunity to be on my very first cooking show with Chef Marco (because y’all know I love to eat ). I became a Kohl’s Creator (yes, I know—I need to share more about that!). I walked in my first-ever fashion show with Memphis Urban Fashion Week, Prep Curry, and FUBU. And one of the biggest milestones of all—I officially launched my personal styling business, where I get to help men and women not only feel confident in what they wear but also unlock their identity in every piece they pick up.

I am deeply grateful for my family, friends, and community who continually pushed me to keep going when every bone in my body wanted to quit. And to my readers (yes, you!)—thank you for not giving up on me, even in the seasons when I stopped writing for a while. Your support means more than words can say.
