My Go-To Coffee Orders and How to Recreate Them at Home
As a true coffee lover, I can’t imagine my day without a cup (or two!) of my favorite brew. From bold espressos to sweet lattes, coffee has become more than just a drink for me, it’s an experience. Whether I’m grabbing a cup at my favorite local coffee shop or whipping something up at home, coffee always finds a way to fuel my day. Today, I’m excited to share a few of my go-to coffee orders and how you can recreate them in the comfort of your own kitchen!
1. The Classic Latte
Let’s start with the basics. A latte is my comfort zone, and nothing beats the smooth blend of espresso and steamed milk. My order usually has a little twist, whether it’s a flavored syrup or an extra shot of espresso.
How to Make It at Home:
• 1 shot of espresso (or strong brewed coffee)
• 8 oz of steamed milk (whole milk for a creamier texture, or oat milk for a dairy-free option)
• Optional: A pump of vanilla, caramel, or cinnamon syrup for a sweet twist
Directions:
1. Brew your espresso.
2. Heat your milk and froth it using a frother or by whisking it.
3. Pour the espresso into a mug, then slowly add the frothed milk, holding back the foam until the end.
4. Add your syrup, stir gently, and enjoy!
2. Caramel Macchiato
This is my go-to when I want something sweet. The layers of espresso, milk, and caramel are pure bliss.
How to Make It at Home:
• 1 shot of espresso
• 8 oz of steamed milk
• 1 tablespoon vanilla syrup
• Caramel sauce for drizzling
Directions:
1. Brew your espresso and set it aside.
2. Heat and froth the milk.
3. Add the vanilla syrup to a mug and pour the milk over it, holding back the foam.
4. Slowly pour the espresso on top (for the classic macchiato layers).
5. Drizzle caramel sauce generously on top and enjoy the sweet goodness!
3. The Iced Cold Brew
When I’m craving something cold and bold, cold brew is the way to go. It’s smooth, strong, and perfect for an afternoon pick-me-up.
How to Make It at Home:
• 1 cup of cold brew coffee (steep coffee grounds in cold water for 12-24 hours, then strain)
• ½ cup of milk or cream
• Optional: Flavored syrup or sweetened condensed milk for a Vietnamese-style twist
Directions:
1. Fill a glass with ice and pour in the cold brew.
2. Add your milk or cream.
3. Sweeten it with a syrup or condensed milk, stir, and sip away!
4. Pumpkin Spice Latte (for That Cozy Fall Vibe)
Nothing says fall like a pumpkin spice latte, and I love grabbing one when the air starts to cool. Making it at home is easier than you think!
How to Make It at Home:
• 1 shot of espresso
• 8 oz of steamed milk
• 1 tablespoon pumpkin puree
• ½ tablespoon pumpkin spice syrup (or a mix of cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves)
• Whipped cream and cinnamon for topping
Directions:
1. Brew your espresso and set aside.
2. Heat the milk and whisk the pumpkin puree and pumpkin spice syrup (or spice mix) into it.
3. Froth the milk and pour it over the espresso.
4. Top with whipped cream and a dash of cinnamon for that cozy fall touch.
