Memphis Food Trucks

There’s something so nostalgic about hunting down and eating from food trucks in the city. Whether it’s a coffee truck, taco or grilled cheese truck, I know I will find one in Memphis at a random parking lot or a neighborhood. Below you will find a list of my favorite food trucks. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

  1. Cousins Maine Lobster
    • If you are a seafood lover like me, then Cousin Maine Lobster is for you. They are most known for their lobster rolls and lobster tots. My go to order is the Connecticut Lobster Roll, which consists of Maine lobster, served warm with butter and lemon, on a New England roll. Make sure to leave room for dessert and try their old school Whoopie Pie. If you are trying to find them, just download the app and you can see their schedule for the week and plan your trip to go visit.

  2. Say Cheese 901
•Grilled cheese all year round is a yes for me. Who wouldn’t want a gourmet grilled cheese sandwich? This is not your regular grilled cheese sandwich; they offer sandwiches from buffalo chicken, grilled steak, pizza and more. Each sandwich is packed with savory flavors that makes you want to come back for more. My go to order is the triple decker which consists of my favorite cheeses: Colby, Provolone and Pepper Jack because you can never have too much cheese. They are located in Midtown, on Linden Ave. It’s hard to miss the yellow truck.

  3. New Wing Order
•Calling all chicken lovers, I know I am one! New Wing Order always makes my mouth water when it comes to their smoked salmon dip and spicy garlic chicken bone in wings. Their wings are cooked to perfection and finger licking good. You can always go to their website or social media page to find the food truck. They also offer dine-in experience inside Ghost River Brewing Co.

  4. Pok Cha’s Egg Rolls
•Pok Cha’s is a homemade egg roll and gourmet Korean food truck. I remember my first bite into an Umami egg roll, filled with chicken. That nice and crispy crunch did something to me. It was loaded up with delicious flavors and you could see the steam coming off it. I also had the fried apple pie egg roll. Trust me when I say you will never eat apple pie the normal way again. They also offer wings and Korean corn dogs just to name a few. You can always check their Facebook page to see where they will be serving for the day.

5. El Mero Taco
•Tacos are made to be enjoyed everyday, not just on Tuesdays. El Mero Taco has a restaurant as well if you would like to experience the full dining services. For starters, I always order queso! My favorite thing about El Mero is that you can turn any menu item into a quesadilla. I always order the southern fried chicken taco, smoked harbanero shrimp taco and a large brisket quesadilla. The food is top tier, and my order never changes. http://www.elmerotaco.com/menu
